Wagga Wagga Health Service is the largest health redevelopment project in regional NSW. The redevelopment and expansion of the hospital will provide first-class services and equip the facility to cater for the future needs of the surrounding communities.

The project will increase the hospital's capacity and capability to help staff continue to deliver a high standard of care.

Stages 1 and 2 of the Wagga Wagga Health Service site were completed by December 2017. These stages had a capital budget of $270.1 million with funding of $215 million from the State Government and $55.1 million from the Commonwealth’s Health and Hospital Fund. A further $12 million was allocated from the Commonwealth Government’s Sub-acute Program for a 20 bed sub-acute Mental Health unit increasing the overall capital budget to $282.1 million.

In February 2015, the NSW Government announced $170 million to deliver Wagga Wagga Health Service Redevelopment Stage 3.
