The main footpath to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital will be temporarily closed from 7am Wednesday 9 December due to works associated with the third and final stage of the Redevelopment.

The footpath along Lewis Drive will close to allow for paving and landscaping works. It's expected to re-open on Wednesday 23 December 2020.

During this time, pedestrians will be diverted through the closed main entry car park. A traffic controller will be on site to ensure the safety of pedestrians due to heavy vehicles on site for the Stage 3 project.

Pedestrians are urged to take care as they make their way around the health campus. Motorists are reminded of the 10-kilometre an hour speed limit in the area.

Construction of the new Stage 3 building is due for completion and operational commissioning in early 2021.Further information on the WWHS Redevelopment is available here.
