Emergency Department in new Hospital
The new purpose built, 7-storey Acute Services Building is the centrepiece of the Wagga Wagga Health Service Redevelopment.
As part of Stage 2, the state-of-the-art Acute Services Building was completed at the end of 2015 and began offering services to patients in January 2016.
The Building includes:
- Emergency department
- Operating theatres
- Women’s and children’s inpatient units
- New intensive care and high dependency units
- Angiography suites
- Additional inpatient beds
- Rooftop helipad.
Stage 2 was delivered in three phases including: the new Acute Services Building; the redevelopment of Support Services Building; and the forecourt, main entry and on grade car parking. The three phases were completed by the end of 2017.
