WWBH DEMOLITION MAKING WAY FOR NEXT STAGE
23 October 2016
Demolition of the old Wagga Wagga Base Hospital tower is on track to be completed by the end of the year with the new Acute Services Building forecourt and carpark scheduled for completion in 2017.
Health Infrastructure said the scaffolding has been removed from the tower block so the final demolition can begin.
“We are using large excavators to demolish the tower from the ground, where previously we were demolishing with small excavators sitting on and within the tower,” a HI spokesman said.
Wagga Wagga Health Service Manager Corporate and Business Services Michael Morris said it was exciting to see the campus changing shape.
