Friday 30 April 2021 The new Main Entry to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital opens from Monday 3 May 2021. The new entry will be open from 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Patients, visitors and staff using the new Hospital Main Entry leading into the expanded Hospital atrium will undergo COVID-19 screenings and temperature checks. The Health Service Hub entry, which opened in February 2021 along with the new Hospital Street corridor, will be the primary entry point to the health facilities. This entry will be open from 6am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. COVID-19 screenings and temperature checks will take place at this entry. Access to the Emergency Department remains unchanged including the continuation of COVID-19 screenings and temperature checks. The new Hospital Main Entry and expanded Hospital atrium have been completed as part of the third and final stage of the $431 million redevelopment of the campus. Friday 22 January 2021 The New Year means a new main entry to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital as part of the third and final stage of the $431 million Wagga Wagga Health Service (WWHS) Redevelopment. The entry in the Health Services Hub (Stage 3 building) opens at 7am, Monday 1 February along with an internal ground floor corridor, known as Hospital Street, to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and a new retail space.
